Structured as a twin-handled vessel, the softly-exaggerated arches, curves and rounded corners echoes Modernist design influences in the design of the overall piece. The form is an excellent canvas for the hand-painted glaze with its palette of an uncommonly simple combination of white, turquoise, and black delineations. However, the pattern is iconic in stylized symbolism, which echoes the hand-painted Sicilian carts that made the island of Sicily famous.

This stunning work is a rare find, from the palette and form to its condition. Stylistically timeless, this work brings a vibrant and contemporary vibe to any room.
